A Dream About My Dad...

I woke up this morning with a smile on my face; I had just given my Dad a hug. Strangely, this was the third dream I remember having about my Dad since he passed away. In every dream, I wake up at the point I am either about to hug him or in this morning's dream, I was hugging him.

I miss my Dad in ways hard to explain and this evening I learned an unveiling would not be held for him, but I am happy knowing his stone has been placed and that Scott, Dylan, and I can visit him anytime we wish.

I do know my Dad's stone says one very important thing, something so fitting of my Dad and his character and I was so happy that a man so humble left these as his final words; "He Cared."

Dad, I only hope you are somewhere, relishing in everything beautiful in the world, enjoying the finest Scotch, your dearest family and friends, and knowing how incredibly loved you are and will always be. I miss you desperately.
